Chateaubriand noticed two different camps of Bedouins by going around the Jordan mountains: "One consisting of seven tents of black sheepskin was arranged in a long square shape, open to the eastern end. The other consisting of a dozen tents was arranged in a circle. Some camels and mares wandered around.
